On April 24 and 25, K-water conducted an integrated water management emergency response drill with local governments and environmental agencies. It was designed to cope with complex water related disasters due to climate change, such as water shortages caused by droughts, water quality deterioration, and frequent local flood damage. The drill was carried out based on four disaster response scenarios including flood response, green algae prevention and response, and the death of fish species, comprehensively reviewing the existing response systems. K-water will improve the flood response system based on the analysis of the drill results, and will manage water quality in cooperation with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the Ministry of Environment, and local governments before the flood season.
