The Asia Water Council's seventh board of directors meeting was held at the K-water Headquarters in Daejeon from September 10 to 11. AWC, Asia's largest international water organization founded in 2016 led by the Korean government and K-water, currently has more than 130 water facilities in 26 countries as members and is chaired by K-water CEO Lee Hak-soo. At the meeting, discussions were made on donating relief supplies to the areas affected by last July's dam collapse in Laos. AWC plans to financially cooperate with K-water to deliver non-powered portable water purifiers and simplified water quality inspectors to Laos.
