From July 3 to 17, K-water, together with Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), provided the “Jordan Water Resources Development and Management Training” to government employees of Jordan at the K-water Human Resources Development Institute in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon-si. This training, which is customized to the water issues in Jordan, was held for the second time following last year. It is comprised of two courses, “Water Management Policy and Strategy Establishment,” for sharing K-water’s integrated water management system establishment cases, and “Sustainable Water Resources,” for focusing on water resource development and management, through dams, purification plans, and desalination processes, etc. To resolve global water issues, foster talent in water-related fields, and develop an overseas network, K-water is providing international training services targeting approximately 4,000 people in 97 countries (accumulated data as of 2017).
