K-water will take part in the ‘UNESCO tap water international certification system’ that certifies the safety of tap water in cities worldwide. The UNESCO tap water international certification system is a system that evaluates the purification management and water quality of tap water and certifies participating cities to increase the percentage of drinkable water and dependence on tap water provided around the world. UNESCO has requested participation in technical advice from 2017 based on the high evaluation of the public character and technology of the water management public enterprise K-water. K-water was put in charge of evaluation of the tap water purification management section, and it will evaluate management of water sources, clean water processes, and observation management of applicable cities on-site and provide UNESCO with the results.
