On September 12, at EXCO in Daegu, K-water signed a business agreement with Santa Fe in the province of Cebu, the Philippines, on cooperation in the water and energy sector and the floating solar photovoltaic power generation pilot project. The agreement aimed at transferring K-water's renewable energy technologies and experiences to Santa Fe and supporting domestic small and medium-sized enterprises to advance into the Philippine Market. Under the agreement, three SMEs including Scotra, Daewon Kang Up and Elec Work will install and operate a 50-kW floating solar photovoltaic power generation demonstration facility in Santa Fe from September 19 to the end of the year. K-water manages the pilot project and carries out the feasibility study and transfers its know-how in facility operation and management to the city. In addition, it plans to develop a follow-up project next year on a larger scale based on the achievements of the pilot project.
