K-water received the “Best Sustainable Management Award” in the sustainable report category at the “2018 Global Standard Management Awards” hosted by Korea Management Certification (KMR). Hosted every year by KMR, the “Global Standard Management Awards” this year reviewed sustainable management reports published by 105 organizations in Korea for 1 year since last August. K-water was assessed highly because of how it has connected its major management performances, which include the improvement of people’s water welfare, creation of jobs and fostering of the water industry, response to climate change and integrated water management, with the three core elements (social development, economic growth, and environmental preservation) proposed by the UN’s “Sustainable Development Goals,” which is an international evaluation standard.
