K-water conducted an overseas social contribution activity from October 15th to 21st during which it dispatched a 34-person volunteer service group, consisting of its employees, college supporters and medical staff from Korea University Ansan Hospital, to So'n Lu Village, Quan So'n District of Thanh Hoa Province, Vietnam, where there is insufficient water. The volunteers installed a water tank, which is capable of storing 30 tons of underground water, a booster pump, sterilization equipment, remote monitoring equipment, etc. as well as a 1km-long pipe that penetrates through the center of the village to establish a foundation for water to be distributed throughout the area. Based on its expertise in water management, K-water has been carrying out social contribution activities overseas in an attempt to solve global water issues for 13 years since 2006.
